Bahasa Indonesia sebagai bahasa pemersatu bangsa, awalnya merupakan gabungan dari bahasa daerah, melayu dan Arab. Seiring perkembangan waktu, bahasa pun juga berkembang akibat interaksi sosial, masyarakat dan bangsa. Beberapa kata langsung dipakai sesuai aslinya, dan beberapa lagi disesuaikan dengan lidah Indonesia.

Pengaruh bahasa Inggris yang begitu besar pada puluhan tahun terakhir, menjadikan Bahasa Indonesia semakin kaya dari serapan bahasa Inggris.

Berikut kosakata baru dalam Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia (KBBI) yang kebanyakan berasal dari serapan bahasa Inggris:

  1. Warganet
    Kata ini sebelumnya lebih populer dengan sebutan netizen, yang bermakna pengguna internet.
  2. Swafoto
    swafoto
    swafoto

    Jika sebelumnya sudah terbiasa dengan kata selfie, maka sekarang harus mulai membiasakan dengan swafoto. Kata ini bisa bermakna potret diri. Biasanya menggunakan ponsel dan diunggah ke media sosial.

  3. Pramusiwi
    Dalam KBBI, pramusiwi berarti wanita yang bekerja pada suatu keluarga dengan tugas merawat bayi atau anak-anak kecil keluarga yang bersangkutan alias pengasuh anak. Sebelumnya lebih populer dengan sebutan babysitter.
  4. Mangkus dan Sangkil
    Kata tersebut digunakan untuk menggantikan kata efektif dan efisien. Terdengar masih canggung mengatakannya.
  5. Pelantang
    Kata ini digunakan untuk menggantikan kata mikrofon yang sebelumnya sudah ada di KBBI. Mempunyai arti alat yang digunakan untuk melantangkan suara.

    they create post titles to grab viewers to click. You might add a video or a picture or two
    to grab readers excited about everything’ve written. Just my opinion, it could
    make your blog a little livelier.
